I decided to buy the X21 from the local gun shop (Gun City) Christchurch, New Zealand. Retail for $595NZ dollars, Paid $525. All I can say is it's the most amazing torch ever made. I did look at the beam and couldnt see properly for 30 min's afterwards. Perhaps a little heavier than expected but still the best lite I will ever own. Its in a class of its own

I was extremely sceptical about the price tag of this torch (don't know if I should call it a torch...). But once it arrived, all doubt dissapeared! The physical appearance of the unit is imposing, and when compared with any other "torch" - well, there is no comparison. Seemless transition from flood to spot, no irritating dark spots or shadows! It does not get hot,like many of the other high-performance hand-held torches. The run-time is perhaps not quite what is advertised, but much longer than any other comparable device on the market. And, just as is advertised, it really does make a car's headlights seem a bit dull ...
